  • Major rehabilitation to Route 57 in Elyria
  • Industrial Parkway road construction and land development
  • City-wide land use planning and zoning update
  • City major thoroughfare plan update which considers bicyclists and pedestrians
  • Upgrade traffic signalization city-wide to provide more efficient traffic flow
  • Significant progress toward all streets, curbs and sidewalks being in good repair
  • Improve Midway traffic pattern which includes the possibility of making Griswold Road and Midway Blvd. at-grade intersections and doing away with the 49th Street bridge
  • Build recreational trail along the Black River around downtown
  • Connect the Inland Recreational Trail from Oberlin to downtown, Cascade Park, Black River Trail to the Black River Landing and Spitzer Marina at Lorain’s lakefront
