Testimonials

I’ve gotten to know Mayor Bill Grace over the last several years through his attendance at every special veteran's ceremony I can recall. Ceremonies on Memorial Day, Veterans Day, Pearl Harbor Day and even Flag Day.

Mayor Grace’s presence and heartfelt remarks at these events make it very clear that this man has a genuine appreciation for those of us who fought in defense of our country.

Mayor Grace’s father Joe Grace was a veteran of World War Two and an active member of Elyria Post 1079 of the VFW until he passed away nearly four years ago. Mayor Grace’s respect for his father and his father’s fellow veterans is obvious and greatly appreciated. It is comforting to know that the mayor of my city respects the sacrifice that so many have made in defense of this country.

Mayor Grace is a friend of mine and a friend of veterans. As a veteran and resident of Elyria, it is with great pride that I ask my fellow veterans and neighbors to support my choice in the upcoming mayoral election, to vote to re-elect to a second term, Mayor Bill Grace.

John Polgar
Former Commander, VFW Post 1079, Elyria

This letter is being written in strong support of Mayor Bill Grace. Over the last five years, I have had the pleasure of getting to know Bill on a personal and a professional level. My time spent with our Mayor, has generally focused on positive issues to make the City of Elyria a better place to live and raise a family. These topics range from the city budget, city streets, beautification projects, safety services, the river walk, to what I feel is the most important topic, our school system. Each of these friendly conversations has proven to be open and honest with some differences of opinions. Although he and I don’t always agree, he has been very open to new ideas, and takes new suggestions seriously when forming his plans for improvement. This is a great quality in a leader; this is what I see in Mayor Grace.

I believe that Bill Grace truly loves the City of Elyria, and wants it to improve each and every day. He is a Mayor who represents the city in a positive manner, who leads by gathering support through involvement, and who listens to his constituents. I urge you to join me in supporting Mayor Bill Grace for four more years.

Sincerely,

Thomas G. Jama
